About Me

I like big bolts and I cannot lie...

My Nanna taught me to knit and crochet when I was young, but it wasn't until I moved to England in 1998 and started compulsory textiles lessons that my passion for sewing developed. From then on I could often be found making various items of clothing, some sort of bag or accessory, this passion for sewing and creating things led me to complete a fashion degree. It wasn't until a few years later in 2009 that I was introduced to and subsequently had my life taken over by quilting.

Or should I say quilting fabric, which I can honestly say has become a total obsession, so much so that our holiday plans and travel routes are marked with local fabric, patchwork and quilting shops much to my family's distress. If it's bright - I need it, if it's Tula Pink, Alison Glass or Anna Maria Horner - I need it and should the two elements be combined you may need to roll out an oxygen tank!!

I have had a great response to my quilt making ventures, with several custom orders under my belt, so I decided to take a leap and turn my passion in to my job. i am able to offer longarm quilting services from my home studio - The She Shed, using my Handi- Quilter Amara, with Pro-Stitcher, which has a 12 foot frame so anything up to 120" square is possible.

I love to hear from you, read your comments and engage with fellow quilt addicts.
